These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Revisely mobile application (“the app”, “Revisely”). Revisely is operated by Majd Khawaldeh (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using Revisely, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Revisely. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. Your account

When you create an account, you are responsible for:

You may not share your account with other people. You must notify us immediately at privacy@revisely.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used to abuse the service, or are inactive for extended periods. We will give reasonable notice where practical.

3. Description of the service

Revisely is a tool to help you track and review your Quran memorization. Specific features include:

We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Revisely (for example, the natural-language descriptions you type when entering memorization data). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process and store it as needed to operate the service.

We do not use your content to train any AI model. Inputs you send to our AI parser are used only to return a result to you.

6. Intellectual property

Revisely, including its name, logo, design, and code, is the property of Majd Khawaldeh and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited license to use the app in accordance with these Terms.

The Holy Quran itself is in the public domain. Page images displayed in the app are sourced from publicly available, freely-licensed Mushaf renderings. The translation, ordering, and metadata of Quranic content provided in the app are presented for educational and devotional use.

7. Third-party services

Revisely uses third-party services to operate, including Firebase (Google), Apple, Anthropic, Sentry, and — if you choose to connect your Quran.com account — Quran Foundation. Your use of those services through Revisely is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties beyond ensuring they are appropriate processors of the data we share with them as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Pricing

Revisely is currently free to download and use, and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be sold exclusively through Apple's In-App Purchase system, any auto-renewing terms will be clearly disclosed at the point of sale, and these Terms will be updated before any charge applies.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Revisely is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the AI-assisted parser or the suggestions made by the revision algorithm. You are responsible for verifying that data entered into and displayed by Revisely is accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Majd Khawaldeh, our affiliates, or our processors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of Revisely, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to Revisely is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $10.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using Revisely at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Delete account.

We may terminate or suspend your access to Revisely at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we will provide notice through the app or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Revisely after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of Revisely will be resolved in the courts located in the State of Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
